Learn the most effective and efficient techniques in attracting successful employees to your organization. Explore various sources for recruitment - from the Internet to outplacement agencies - and use mock interviews to examine the process of ensuring the candidate who is the "best fit" for the position. Compliance with employment laws, an integral part of evaluating the entire recruitment and selection process, is included.
*Note- On October 4th class will be held online.
Recruitment & Staffing class contains an online blended portion consisting of 5 on ground (live) classroom sessions and one on line session on October 4, 2016:

Case Studies with Discussion Questions (which they are to read and then email their responses to the Discussion Questions to the email student group using Main Posts and Response Posts.
The students use the group email for facilitation discussions. Follow up discussion on will take place the final last class on October 11, 2016.
What is a main post? A main post is your response to the Cases Study Discussion Questions. Main posts are required to consist of at least 100 words.
IMPORTANT: Your main post indicates your attendance. You will be counted as absent if you fail to make your main posts during the class session time of 6 pm-9 pm (email date/time stamp will indicate)
What is a response post? Response posts are your comments or feedback to other members' main posts. Response Posts do not have to fulfill a word count requisite but should be of high quality and add value to the discussion.
Dawn Peterson Jones is a human resource professional with over 25 years of experience, bringing HR best practices to organizations in a variety of industries (for-profit and non-profit) which include: academia, publishing, and performing arts. Dawn is currently Senior Director of Human Resources at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts. Additionally, Dawn is an Adjunct Professor at Albertus Magnus College, Asnutuck College, and Saint Joseph College, where she teaches a variety of classes including Leadership, Human Resource Management, Staffing/Recruiting, and Sociology. She has experience with executive and career coaching, counseling and many other aspects of talent management. Involved in a wealth of charitable organizations, Dawn has served as President of the Human Resource Association of Central Connecticut (HRACC) and is a member of SHRM (The Society of Human Resource Management) and The Connecticut SHRM State Council. Dawn holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Morgan State University and a Master of Science Degree in Human Resource Management and Labor Relations from New York Institute of Technology.
