Course Description

Audience: This program is for middle and high school students entering grade 6 through 12 in the Fall 2017.

Python is a powerful programming language, yet it is very easy to learn and fun to use. Participants of this class will learn the essential computer programming techniques by working on a number of short exercises, programming puzzles and games. We will cover the use of control structures like loops and conditional statements, fundamental data structures like lists, organizing and reusing code with functions, drawing shapes and patterns with Python's turtle module, and creating games and animations. No previous programming experience is required.
