Audience: This program is for middle school students entering grade 6 through 8 in the Fall 2017.
This foundation program in digital design graphics and printing introduces students to explore the concepts of digital graphic design and printing decorative methods. Students will be engaged in hands-on and minds-on creative activities by using a variety of computer software applications, such as: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and PhotoShop. Student creativity will be moved beyond the design with the use multiple types of printing techniques (or graphic reproduction methods), such as: Digital, Inkjet and Screen Printing, etc. and printed on a wide variety of sources such as paper, boards, and fabric, etc. Leave the class with hand-printed items such as a handmade t-shirt!
Naik Dharavath has been teaching graphics technology for more than 15 years. Over the years, he has taught a wide variety of design and reproduction concepts to students of middle- and high-school age groups as well as college-level courses. Naik has developed and implemented the finest graphic arts laboratories at CCSU in the last two years.
