Course Description

What is fair trade? How does it impact communities and commerce? How do we identify fair trade products correctly? Why does fair trade cost so much? Is it REALLY fair? Dr. Pope will answer all of these questions and provide you with a sampling of fair trade products while learning the ins and outs of this movement!

Instructor Information

Dr. Cindy Pope


Dr. Pope is a Professor of Geography at CCSU and teaches all levels of human geography courses, including a course on the Geography of Coffee. She came to this specialty after her scholarship and teaching in and about Latin America and the Caribbean. She also teaches and conducts research in Medical Geography, and her countries of focus are Cuba and Belize.
