Industry 4.0 Mechatronics & Robotics

Participants will be introduced to multiple technologies used in production including: Interfaces of Electromechanical Devices, Integration with Automation Technologies, Sensors and their Applications, Data Acquisition and Collection, Mechanical Design Interfaces and Basic Microprocessor or PLC Programming.

Curriculum

Participants will be introduced to multiple technologies used in production including: Interfaces of Electromechanical Devices, Integration with Automation Technologies, Sensors and their Applications, Data Acquisition and Collection, Mechanical Design Interfaces and Basic Microprocessor or PLC Programming. The integration of these elements has a role in Industry 4.0 systems.  They are interfaces that we take for granted every day in simple and complex systems. In this overview course the participants will explore and investigate the many complex interfaces and design parameters associated with mechatronics and robotics.

Instructor

Dr. Ravindra Thamma

Dr. Thamma is currently Professor of Robotics and Mechatronics of CCSU’s School of Engineering, Science, and Technology. Dr. Thamma received his PhD from Iowa State University. His teaching and research interests are robotics, automation, manufacturing system, linear control systems and intelligent systems.
