Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
WIOA Eligible
Green Belts are Six Sigma practitioners who do process and product improvement project work. The focus of Six Sigma is to reduce and control variation and waste in our processes based on the importance to the customer and the business needs. Students will be asked to consider a project before coming to class.
Details
Curriculum
The Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate program is designed for working professionals with little or no prior experience with the Six Sigma process improvement methodology. Students learn the Six Sigma problem-solving framework – Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) – and its associated tools and methods in each phase. At program completion, you will be well-versed in the process and tools needed for successfully leading a Green Belt-level project to improve an organization’s business performance.
Outcomes:
1. Identify and charter Six Sigma projects in alignment with business needs.
2. Execute a Six Sigma Green Belt-level project through all DMAIC phases.
3. Employ software programs (e.g. Minitab, Excel, etc.) where appropriate to perform data analysis.
4. Assist with data collection and analysis for Six Sigma Black Belt-level projects.
This training makes extensive use of hands-on exercises, utilizing the project and data candidates bring to class. Students are required to have a project which may be advanced significantly during the training period through applying the newly learned techniques on their projects as well as on a final exam. Students will be required to consider a project before coming to class.
Who Should Enroll
Students interested in receiving their green belt certification.
Companies wishing to send 8 or more people can have their own customized class.
