Six Sigma Green Belt Certification

WIOA Eligible

Green Belts are Six Sigma practitioners who do process and product improvement project work. The focus of Six Sigma is to reduce and control variation and waste in our processes based on the importance to the customer and the business needs. Students will be asked to consider a project before coming to class.

Curriculum

Green Belts are Six Sigma practitioners who do process and product improvement project work. The focus of Six Sigma is to reduce and control variation and waste in our processes based on the importance to the customer and the business needs.  This training makes extensive use of hands-on exercises, utilizing the project and data candidates bring to class. Students are required to have a project which may be advanced significantly during the training period through applying the newly learned techniques on their projects as well as on a final exam. Students will be required to consider a project before coming to class.

Instructor

Dr. Ravindra Thamma

Dr. Thamma is currently Professor of Robotics and Mechatronics of CCSU’s School of Engineering, Science, and Technology. Dr. Thamma received his PhD from Iowa State University. His teaching and research interests are robotics, automation, manufacturing system, linear control systems and intelligent systems.
