Learning Technology and Movement 7/20 - 7/24 3rd - 5th graders

This class is for all students in grades 3-5 who love to move, play and have fun! We will focus on physical wellness through technology integration, movement, mindfulness and nutrition.  Students will be using pedometers, heart rate monitors, computers and games that incorporate STEAM. This camp will be indoors and outdoors so be sure to dress accordingly and bring a water bottle! Tech & Movement is taught by a physical and health educator with over a decade of experience in working with elementary aged students. Liz has a passion for using technology in the classroom as well as making movement enjoyable for all kids.

STEM Design for Elementary Students 7/27 - 7/31 3rd - 5th grades

Get ready to think! Students will work with seasoned educators to explore STEM themes through play and fun! Students will develop critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration and design skills. Some projects we will complete include bridge building, straw rockets as well as basic robotics!

Introduction to Technology 8/3 - 8/7 6th - 8th graders

Do you like to build things and solving problems? In this program kids explore hands-on activities by applying the engineering design process. We be working with all of the tools and equipment in the technology and engineering laboratory. Students will explore everything from Computer aided Design, 3D printers and woodworking tools. During our week we will also explore simple machines and power sources. We will build prototypes and models to test our design. Then we will test our designs and figure out how to make them better.
